About My Practice
After embarking on my second career, I found my calling in supporting individuals facing challenges related to their mental wellbeing. Through my own healing journey, I became curious about learning how to help myself to overcome internal struggles. After completing my degree in 2018, I have dedicated my practice to serving the needs of people in California. During my clinical hours, I had the privilege of working closely with Indigenous communities, gaining valuable experience and cultural understanding. I am trained in EMDR, mindfulness therapies and trauma-informed approaches, which allow me to provide comprehensive and effective support to my clients. My approach to therapy is rooted in empathy, understanding, and a deep respect for each individual's unique journey. I believe in creating a safe space where clients can explore their emotions, heal from past traumas, and develop effective coping strategies. I am committed to empowering my clients on their path to mental well-being and personal growth. Together, we can work towards building resilience, fostering self-compassion, and achieving a more fulfilling life. Outside of the office I enjoy spending time in the garden, being creative, and spending time with my family.

About My Practice
My ongoing training ensures that I stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in psychotherapy, allowing me to provide effective and compassionate support to my clients. I have training in EMDR, IFS, mindfulness and trauma recovery. Learn more about these therapeutic approaches below:
Mindfulness-Based Therapies: Helps individuals cultivate present-moment awareness and develop skills to manage stress, anxiety, and trauma-related symptoms (like triggering events). Mindfulness meditation creates neuroplasticity and adaptive thinking, helping to break patterns of behavior or reactions.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing): EMDR is a powerful therapy technique that helps individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. It focuses on bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, to facilitate the brain's natural healing process.
Neuropsychology: I incorporate the latest research from neuropsychology, to better understand and explain the impact of trauma on the brain. This knowledge allows for a deeper understanding of how trauma affects relationships, feelings of safety, and behavioral patterns like panic, anxiety, and depression. Neuropsychology also informs treatment therapies such as somatic therapy, breathing exercises, and others.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): Helps individuals understand and heal their internal conflicts. It identifies the aspects of your personality, or parts within, that have their own emotions and desires. By exploring and addressing conflicts within the parts of the individual, IFS helps achieve emotional healing and a greater sense of self awarenes.
Somatic Therapies: Focuses on the connection between the mind and body. This therapy recognizes that psychological issues can show up as physical sensations. Somatic therapy utilizes techniques that address your physical senses.
